Why career men and women are important.

Why career men and women are important.

Maybe this author should do his homework before spouting out garBAGE. Why don’t you look at a recent study funded by the National Institute of Mental Health about the new American family? Working couples with children are happier and healthier than the traditional “Ozzie and Harriet” family. In fact, children of two-career couples are doing well. Maternal employment has had no uniform effect on child development. Also, there are no significant differences between the children of employed and nonemployed mothers. (Study directed by Rosalind C. Barnett at the Murray Research Center, “She Works, He Works: How Two-Income Families are Happier, Healthier, and Better Off,” HarperCollins San Francisco, 1996).

Obviously the author isn’t really interested in making people happy, just in recreating the traditional patriarchal family.

You cite one ten yr old study when there are 50 more that draw the opposite conclusions. Our society has gone to hell and thats all you can cite… Amazingly close minded.

You know what, on second thought. I feel sorry for people like you and Mr. Noer. Maybe his wife left him for a SMARTER career MAN.
