Okay,  I’m a successful young career woman who just  celebrated my 4th anniversary and have 2 young kids.  I hear what this guy is saying – who wouldn’t want a subservient type person at home who’s main goal in life is to make “a happy home” for the family.  (I love how that’s her job and all he’s supposed to do is enjoy it!)  I would love it if when I got home from work dinner was on the table, my house was clean, and the kids were quietly doing some craft project.  But frankly – I don’t want to be the one doing all of that.

Shouldn’t we realize that women are valuable resources as well?  I know I’m way smarter and better at what I do than a lot of the men at my company.  Maybe they should be home making “happy homes” for us smart women!

Not to mention that a smart career-type woman who does end up staying home will eventualy morph into a bitter, depressed person who has very little self-worth and resents her husband for deeming her to a life of subservience!

Good luck with that.

You just made his point. Don’t marry a career woman.  The company you work at must have some really dumb men because your intelligence is not impressive.
