Your latest publishing is absolutely, totally unbelieveable. I would like to write my own article for you entitled: “Don’t Marry a Lazy Husband Who Has No Interest in Being a Partner or Helping With the Family.” Get real, and get in the year 2006. You should be ashamed for publishing this piece of trash in your magazine.

Yes, good post moron.

Shame on Forbes, for the following….

1) For stating facts that help both men AND women.
2) For allowing men who have been quieted for 30 years to have a voice.
3) For jumping their business profits, by speaking for the silent majority.
4) For challanging destructive feminists, who have done MORE to hurt the USA than Al Qaeda.

Yes, shame on you Forbes, for doing the right thing.

Many men already knew career women were bad marriage material before the article. Hopefully though it at least saved at least one unknowing guy a lot of greif.

Oh many if not most already know the article simply reiterated the obvious. It’s now just exposed on a mass media level.  When career women complain that all the good men are married or gay, they might want to self-evaluate what they bring of value to a relationship. Something women havent done in a long long time.

What kind of response is this? Shame on Forbes? Shame on you for being such a mindless blowhard. Are you challenging what the author said or challenging the fact that he had the unbelievable nerve to point out the obvious: Women’s lib has led to the destruction of the American family. Can anyone dispute the fact that the divorce rate in the US has gone up hand in hand with the Womens Lib movement?

Raising children for men and women alike should be held in such an honor that it should come before the two careers, the larger home, the $5OK cars, the exotic vacations.

Mix in a minivan or cheaper SUV.

1) For stating facts that help both men AND women.

The only way this article helped women is by showing them that misogyny still exists.

2) For allowing men who have been quieted for 30 years to have a voice.

Quieted for 30 years? I doubt that.

3) For jumping their business profits, by speaking for the silent majority.

See reply to #2.

4) For challanging destructive feminists, who have done MORE to hurt the USA than Al Qaeda.

Just a hunch, but somehow I think that people who have personally experienced loss on 9-11 will disagree with you on this one.

So was it the womens’ movement, or mens’ response to it?  I’m inclined to think the latter.  Sure, just as Mr. Noer points out, if a woman makes less than $30k a year, she’s less likely to divorce.  But that’s not a good thing if the kids she’s raising have a depressed, unhappy or bitter mother.  Having a partner who can walk away at any moment keeps men honest.  Apparently they’re failing miserably at it.

This is why feminism needed to happen; to show the lie that men like you preach.  Fact is that most men, regardless of the amount of income they have relative to their wife, will not stay home and take the caregiving role.  They will wait to marry until they can marry down.  Based on these facts, it’s clear that men don’t really love their children, as they are unwilling to actually participate in the day-to-day care of them.  Instead they love them in the abstract.  They love the idea of playing ball with their sons (after they’ve been cleaned and fed by someone else) and dancing with their daughters (ditto).  That’s not real love, as it requires no real sacrifice.

This tops the list of insane comments I’ve seen on this board. Probably becuase she copy and pasted it from some feminazi peice of literature.

YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS TO BE A MAN. YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND MEN AT ALL IF YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT WE DONT LOVE OUR CHILDREN BECAUSE WE DONT ACT LIKE WOMEN.

Nope.  Came up with that all by myself.

No, you do not love your children because you hold them at arms length when they are dirty, noisy or need more care than your career allows.  You spend a fraction of their lives actually interacting with them and instead insist that someone else sacrifice life outside the home so that they are properly loved.  After all, YOU couldn’t be expected to do that, could you?

I appear to have touched a nerve.  Truth is irritating, isn’t it?

Perhaps he should have stayed home.

What should he be ashamed for? Actually, the article didn’t go far enough: the author should have mentioned NON-career women as well, since many of them display the same low qualities, the same lack of femininity, as those with careers.

You seem to be trying to elicit some sort of moral outrage on behalf of American women. The problem, however, is that it’s quite difficult to imagine a more unadmirable, unlovable, unsympathetic group of human beings as American women.

Actually, I think I’ve found a group more unadmirable, unloveable and unsympathetic right here on this board — I think they’ve taken to calling themselves “real men”? Bit of a misnomer, but considering the general level of debate that might be nitpicky. So thanks, Pete and ilk!

And the attitude you just displayed right now only confirms what I just said about American women being unadmirable, unlovable, and unsympathetic.

It’s rather remarkable how determined you American women seem to be in making yourselves so thoroughly unappealing and distasteful – and then excoriating men for rejecting you on that very basis.

Really mature, that name-calling. The use of the word “moron” should help your cause exponentially.

2) For allowing men who have been quieted for 30 years to have a voice.

How have men been quieted? Every time I turn on any given news channel- the networks, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, C-Span, you name it- all I see are lots and lots and lots of men. And they are talking! And every now and then there is a woman. And she talks too, if she can get through the men shouting over her. Such a shame that men have no voice in this country./sarcasm (since you seem to have a little trouble recognizing it) And speaking of that, one of the most disturbing things I’ve noticed in the ugly men’s responses (as opposed to the rational ones) is a dire lack of humor. Stop taking yourselves so seriously guys! Life is short! Have a little fun, especially at your own expense. Women of all kinds love a sense of humor.

Ahh, the truth comes out.  you are angry and bitter.

Your father should have divorced your mother and got his mother to come stay home to help out.

Or, your father should have sent the whole family to therapy.

At the very least, you should go to therapy.  Blogging is not therapy.

HMM, Marta accusing me or any man of not caring for our children is almost funny. It is more than apparent that you either got married and your husband left you due to your insecurity, your childen turned out horribly because your selfish nature didn’t nurture them during their childhood or you are a lesbian who can’t figure out which of you should stay home because you are both feminazi career minded ‘women’

For the record, I have changed more diapers than any career woman.

I sincerely doubt it.  I have 4 siblings who were in diapers when I was old enough to be expected to help change them, and I have worked in pediatrics enough to change not a few diapers there as well.
