Reader Response to “Don’t Marry Career Women” – Something to anger everyone…

Something to anger everyone…

As always, the truth of this particular matter lies squarely in the middle of all this vitriol.  Read and be annoyed.

Well, OF COURSE divorce and infidelity rates are higher for career women.  After all, we’re financially self-sufficient and don’t have to put up with any nonsense.

And OF COURSE a two-career household is more logistically complex and stressful for all involved in so many ways.  We can compensate with cleaning ladies, laundry services, dog groomers, interior designers and the rest, but it really doesn’t compare to having your own little nest that you lovingly maintain yourself.

And OF COURSE children would far rather be with Mom or Dad than have the many little niceties a two-career families brings.  Based on hard experience, I would posit that it is nearly impossible for both partners to work the 50+ hours required by information age servitude when you have children aged 7 to 17.  Babies can happily be raised by nannies, but children and teenagers need their parents to be present.

SOOoo when a woman has no need to be a good wife because she makes her own money she will cheat ? How come “liberated” women always want to emulate the bad boys that abusive cheating selfish ones and never try to act like the good caring ones ?

Geeezz Cassius,
Just because a woman earns her own money doesn’t mean she is going to cheat. I earn my own money, in fact I earn more per hour than my husband but I have never and don’t ever intend to “cheat” on him.  I have even had friends say to me, “Why don’t you leave him?” and other things as he certainly is not the best husband, however, I have morals and I would not cheat on him. I’ve read a few of your posts now and like what is it with you??? Have you been badly hurt by some woman in the past who had a good career or something???
