The flaw is that she assumes women select which men they choose to marry, its right there in the title “don’t marry a lazy man”. Sorry career ladies, but its the other way around. We select you and housewives are a better fit for the traditional concept of marriage. And despite how much complaining and criticizing you do you cannot force us to marry you.

I hate to break this to you dear, but in order for a marriage to take place there needs to be two people willing to make the life-long commitment. Just because you like to think that men have the so-called “upper-hand” does not make it so. And living a single lifestyle is much preferable to being in an unhappy marriage, for all parties concerned.

Of course we have the upper hand. We chose which women we want to marry. Last time I checked, men were the ones proposing to women. Why do you think this article upsets career women so much? because Noer is asking us to effectively remove career women from our decision making process with regards to marriage. Without our decision, a marriage is not created. So all the stuff about marriage requiring effort, team work, etc. is null and void until we make the choice to marry.

Which comes full-circle to the overused whine “why men won’t commit”.

Most marriages I’m aware of were a case of mutual selection, and any of us can make mistakes.

And who took the initiative to propose? I’m betting the man. And if he didn’t propose? there would be no marriage. So there’s no mutual selection UNTIL the man proposes – at which point the woman can accept or reject.
