Why is this guy on the FBI top ten list? I might accept it if the myth of “monogamy” matched the reality of most American lives. Polygamy was practiced all over the Bible and amongst Hindus as well. Nevertheless, Warren Jeffs is painted as the devil incarnate. Gimme a break.

Actually there is solid evidence that polygamy is highly detrimental to the well-being of children raised in a polygamous atmosphere. In fact, a few months ago, a “progressive” Islamic group in Indonesia organized some public rallys against public-sanction of polygamy in Indonesian law, and the group used the statistics as evidence that polygamy is harmful for children. Unfortunately for these “free-thinking” progressive Muslims, a hard-line Islamic group burned several of their buildings to the ground and denounced the free-thinking muslims as “infidels”. That’s how fascists operate, whether they are Islamic fascists in Indonesia or feminist fascists in America. In America, Noer writes one article citing statistics, and the feminist fascists in America act just like the Islamic fascists in Indonesia when faced with statistics.

Who someone does or doesn’t marry, or how many of them they marry, really shouldn’t be a matter for the laws to decide.

Abusive marriages are detrimental to children, too – but no one’s stopping abusers from getting married.

If three consensual adults (let’s say two men and one woman) want to enter into a matrimonial agreement/contract, it’s none of my business.

The news story about his arrest mentioned that he was alleged to be involved in “marrying off” under-aged women/girls. I’m not sure if polygamy is the actual charge.

As the seemingly endless JonBenet rerun illustrated, young women/girls are this society’s most valuable and cared about members for reasons which escape me.

He’s on the 10 most wanted not just because of polygamy, but because of child molestation and major tax scandals associated with the fundamentalist group of LDS. This in not just about some guy that really likes women.

That’s right, porkchops, feminist extremists have burned all buildings owned by Forbes or related organizations to the ground.

Lord have mercy…

And still with the fascist fascist fascist. We’ve really got to teach you some new words.

In Indonesia, the Islamic fascists burned their opposition’s buildings to the ground becuase they knew they could get away with it. Islamic fascists have been burning churches to the ground in Indonesia for the last 50 years and all they get is a tongue-lashing at most. So likewise, it’s obvious from the vitriol that the fascists feminists have spewed already about this article that they would have already burned forbes buildings to the ground — if the feminist fascists thought they could get away with it. Also, there’s not much difference between burning your opposition down literally or figuratively, only difference in degree, not kind. Thanks for playing, but you’re the weakest link, buh-bye, Next.

porkchop, there’s a huge difference in “burning your opposition down literally or figuratively”, and it is most definitely not a difference “in degree, not kind.” Let me illustrate:

When one burns something down literally, physical property is destroyed. Very likely, human beings are injured or even killed. Even those not physically harmed are terrorized (ie, they fear in a very real and immediate way for their lives and physical safety as well as the lives and safety of their families and associates). When one “burns something down” figuratively, none of these things happens. People spout off. A lot of noise gets made. People get very worked up. Ultimately, most people pay no attention to all the uproar, and very rarely does it amount to anything at all. If you are truly so sheltered and priveliged in your life that you cannot even conceive of the difference between being the victim of a violent organized terrorist attack and having your sensibilities offended/your feelings hurt by things strangers say on the internet, you really have no business being as angry and resentful as you seem to be.

Now, as for the “in degree, not kind” assertion, let me help you understand the difference there, too. A lesser degree of the kind of attack you describe in Indonesia would be something like throwing mud or spoiled fruit or even rocks rather than firebombs. A greater degree of the “burning down” you assert is being done on this board would be something like posting death threats against Noer or pressuring Forbes (or the press in general) to publically and officially denounce him. Got it?

Thanks for playing, but you’re the weakest link, buh-bye, Next.

I don’t know why I have a soft spot for you, porkchop. I really shouldn’t. I should just ignore you completely. Instead I feel this odd need to let you in on something (must be my maternal instincts): when you say things like this, it doesn’t make your target look stupid. If your target is other than an insecure child, it doesn’t even make them feel stupid. It just makes your readers grow increasingly suspicious that you are a middle-class fourteen-year-old with few social outlets. Now I doubt this is actually the case, but it would be a shame, wouldn’t it, for people to stop reading your posts with open minds (or just stop reading them at all) because they believed you were too childish and petty to be worth the time?
