“Career” women

I completely forgot about this board.  I figured all the idiots, I am sorry, feminists, left with their tails tucked between their legs.

It appears that is pretty much the case, but I felt I should share after remembering this board last week.

I posted on why I am so thankful to instead be single at 28, than be married to a “career” woman.  What a **bleep** disaster of a life that would be.

But today I decided to keep track of the woman that sits closest to me.  I have a very good job, and I am thankful.  I invest very well, and thanks to avoidng worthless pieces of ****, I’m sorry, USA women, I should be able to retire VERY young.

Anyway, the woman who works closest to me is probably one of the hardest working most competent female worker I have ever worked with.  I respect her abilities and her work ethic.  But even at that, she is still a woman, and pretty much a disaster overall in the office.

Here was her day today…

8:30 – 10:30 E-mails, get read for the day, call her husband once.  Get started on a project and surfed the net some.  Over all = 30 minutes of actual work.
10:30 – 11:00 Chit chat with another female co-worker about her holloween costume.
11:00 – 11:15 Work
11:15 – 12:45 – Lunch
12:45 – 4:30 Mix of work, chatting with a co-worker, and surfing the web.  I would give her an estimated 2 hours of actual work.
4:30 – 5:00 Chit chat with yet another female co-worker about her child’s school.

We do have projects backed up, and I put in about 9 hours trying to keep up (and help on her projects as well).  She put in an estimated 2 hours and 45 minutes.

1) Wow, what a complete waste, no wonder our economy is just on the verge of collapse.  Hope I get my money made and invested before that happens.

2) I cannot imagine being married to someone like this.  If they don’t even respect the company that pays then a high salary, how would they respect their husband?

3) Wow, just wow.

chatting with other female employees is hard work

think of all the energy it takes to produce all that hot gas being exchanged between them.

Just don’t let yourself get sucked into “water-cooler” talk. It’s hard enough saying no thanks to coercive wedding/bridal shower office panhandling.

Oh yes, thank you for reminding me.

At least once a week I am working with a woman on a project, and the entire process gets derailed so they can either tell a pointless story (which is unneeded AND goes WAY too long), or so they can act cute and funny (it ain’t cute, it ain’t funny, even in high school).

I feel like telling them “either shut up, or get it over with” when they babble on with unneeded information.  When they get the subject off track and distract everyone, I feel like telling them “please, just leave, you are causing more problems than you are solving”.

But we cannot in our PC environment.

Christ, women in the work force, what a **bleep** disaster.

Here are some of my experiences:

1) Inane tangential questions during meetings. Meeting derailed to address stupid points. (Attention seeking).

2) After being told what to do, ask the questions: what specifically is it that they need to do and why specifically they are doing it. Same questions asked over again after 5 minutes of explanation. Repeat in almost infinite loop until I do it myself.

3) Unable to answer questions with yes/no. Must muddy the waters with ambiguous response. Pain in the arse when trying to get technical information.

4) Changing requirements in specifications more often than any other category of people. Time overrun on two month projects have gone into four months as a result of this.

5) Getting hung up on decisions like “which colour”, when decisions on functional details are not taken care of yet. Two hour meeting on why “colour” is irrelevant at this stage. Point not understood.

6) When suggestions are made, persistent devil’s advocate polarity responding until around a dozen suggestions are on the table and people are getting pissed off one has not been chosen yet.

7) Vicious backstabbing politics.

etc. etc.

Most of these are down to “constant need for attention”.

Men have standards. Women will be compared. DEAL WITH IT.

So you are lucky enough that affirmative action hired a worker that does not unload her work on you. Good for you. It aint women in the workingplace that we need to get rid off, but affirmative action, card blanche to spend your work time at starbucks. Goverment employees are hard to fire and it is no coincidence they have a reputation of beeing slow and comfy about work. There is a reason for supervisors and bosses most people need a bit of pressure at work, affirmative action severly cuts that pressure because she knows she cant be fired, so the work and pressure is doubled on men instead.

There’s your investment idea, tomshh: SBUX – load up every time there’s the inevitable really bad news and it pulls back sharply, as it did this summer. It’s now up 30+% from the lows on recent good news; take profits, rinse, repeat, enjoy…
