Gant Could Face 10 Years In Prison

POSTED: 9:30 am EDT October 11, 2006
DES MOINES, Iowa — Police said an Iowa woman wanted a wedding gown so badly that she would have traded her child for it.

Davenport, Iowa, police charged 31-year-old Marcy Gant with one felony count of sale of an individual. She is accused of trying to sell her 4-year-old son.

They said Gant bought a wedding dress from a local street vendor, paid part of the tab, and offered her son to make up the rest of the balance.

“During negotiations for the payment of this wedding dress, on at least two occasions, Ms. Gant offered her 4-year-old son as collateral,” Capt. Dave Struckman of the Davenport Police Department.

Neighbors said they were shocked.

“(There is) something very mentally wrong with her to think that that is OK,” said Angie Bruce, Gant’s neighbor. “(If) those children go back to her they’re in danger. That’s just not acceptable if the state lets her have those children back.”

If convicted, Gant could face 10 years in prison.

Gant’s 4-year-old son and her 10-year-old son have been taken into protective custody.

That so many women are cruel and heartless is not surprising nowadays, I’m more surprised that Ms. Gant actually found someone stupid enough to marry her, but PT Barnum said something about that.

I hope I hear no more b*tching when I say women need the supervision of a male adult. Without it they get shaped by the *rap they see on tv.

“”(There is) something very mentally wrong with her to think that that is OK,” said Angie Bruce, Gant’s neighbor.”

Typical response. Maybe she just needed a hug…

Actually, if she’d gotten rid of the kids first she might have made herself a better prospect, to the extent that she might have been able to snag a guy who could have footed the bill for the dress.

Anyone want to bet she never really spends a day in the slammer?

These stories are good because they call into question woman’s character in the court of law. No longer will she be able to garnish unilateral support by judges and such for her testimony. I think a woman’s testimony should be held up in court, only if said charge was witnessed by a man. That is how they do it in the Muslim world.

Women have been proving for the last 30 years that men have been right for the last 30 centuries!
