Look at this board, can you imagine women running a company. Even if you take a subject they should not relate to personally you have them make a point then you make a counterpoint then they get like Waaaaaahh you are so meeaaaaan ! And when you break down your point step by step explaining it the way a 8 year old could understand it, they realize the the patriarch is (gasp) right and instead of building on it, they just pack up and leave the conversation because they feel like they have lost. If you look at our boardroom here the female boardmebers went scowling in starbucks because they saw no way to wiggle their fingers at us anymore leaving constructive discussions to the guys, something they can not be a part of obviously. Thats EXACTLY what happend at HP. Onedumbbitch aquiered a computer company to try and get HP back into the computer buisness. How did she do that ? She picked one of the cheapest ones avaibel buying weakness instead of strentgh. It was so cheap because the company was going badly since years. Everyone at HP told this dumb bitch it is a bad idea to buy a company going badly since years buying a loss buying costs and having to invest intensively in the company to get it back on track, if it ever will, after having to pay to buy it in the first place. What happend ? Was she reasonable, did she even act like a mature adult ? No she felt under attack, because everyone was soooo meeaaaaan. Of course it got personal to her and she had to pull it through to have it her way even if it meant knowlingly and willingly damaging the company. Thats what we will see in any female led company, an Hitlarian resistance to qualified advise replaced by power trips. And yes maybe you have all heard of ONE woman who is not like that.

In all fairness,

We’ve also seen men behaving badly… Enron anyone?

But I can’t help to think that the motivations are different. In the HP case, we have people allegedly spying on journalists and all kind of underhand **bleep**.

Enron and Worldcom were all about dollars. Meanwhile looks like the HP job was nothing but pure unadulterated revenge.

And, as of this morning, the FemiNasty looking head Counsel of HP, Ann Baskins resigned today, along with her Handler, Patricia Dunn.

I bet that these two conspired to do some craziness and got caught in the act.

Should be interesting.

What happend in Enron was downright criminal. If you look at the 4 or 5 female Ceos of the top 500, all of them perform substandard, meaning 90-100% of the women ceos perform way worse than the Index, an Index that measures the performance of men mostly. There is 2 ways to go now. Make the ceos all female so the index will adapt, or do the wise thing and avoid female ceos.

You can pretty much gaurantee the stock value will underperform.

Women have been proving for the last 30 years that men have been right for the last 30 centuries!

“You can pretty much gaurantee the stock value will underperform.”

This could be an interesting exercise… Anybody know right off where there’s a complete list of all the publicly traded companies headed up by female CEO’s? There are about a zillion indices out there already. One more couldn’t hurt.

A quick googling only turned up articles on CEO pay discrimination (!) and under-representation… so here’s a start on a partial list (not sure if it’s current) after 20-30 minutes of looking:

Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) – Patricia Woertz, CEO
PepsiCo Inc. (PEP) – Indra K. Nooyi, CEO (as of Monday 10/1/06)
Kraft Foods (KFT) – Irene B. Rosenfeld, CEO
Sara Lee (SLE) – Brenda Barnes, CEO
Avon Products (AVP) – Andrea Jung, CEO/President
Lucent Tech. (LU) – Patricia Russo, CEO/CoB
Xerox Corp. (X) – Anne Mulcahy, CEO/CoB
eBay Tech (EBAY) – Meg Whitman, CEO/President

candidates:
Ogilvy & Mather (private?) – Shelly Lazarus, CEO/CoB (advertising)
Hearst Pub., Magazines Division (private?) – Cathleen Black, Pres. (Cosmo, Good Housekeeping)

Any others anyone know of?
